Discover how to tell if a theatre company is inclusive enough for you!
At this webinar, panelists Ty Defoe, Kristoffer Diaz, Amanda Green, and Aisha DeCoteau, along with facilitators Chisa Hutchinson and Christine Toy Johnson, shared personal anecdotes that illustrated the bad things that can happen when red flags are ignored and the good things that can happen when a writer seeks out companies that share their values. They also discussed "Ten Questions You Should Ask Yourself" from the Guild's new resource guide on The Art of Negotiating Theatre Contracts. This conversation was followed by advice on how to contact companies that folks think might be right for them, with a Q&A at the end.
This event was part of a series of webinars that were presented in tandem with the release of the Dramatists Guild's new Inclusion Rider. This rider is intended to be a resource to support all dramatists and producers who have a desire to exercise these principles in the hiring of personnel involved in their productions.
