Caridad Svich: A new translation is like a new play. Just like a new play, the translation needs time to develop. Translation is both an art and a craft, which may not seem revolutionary to say, but these days sometimes that feels revolutionary. Let’s start there in terms of respectful processes you’ve had with bringing new work into the world across theatrical cultures and linguistic cultures, especially in development situations, and also in production.
