Zack Allen was a warm personality and roving intellect with decades of experience around Knoxville, ranging from professional acting to administering grants for arts funding. However, when he passed away in 2018 at 52 years old, one of his biggest impacts left behind would be the Knoxville Children’s Theatre (KCT) he co-founded with Jenny Ballard in 2008. During those ten years, among many things, he wrote eighteen original plays and adaptations.

(he/him) is the Tennessee Regional Rep for the Dramatists Guild of America and the Literary Manager for the Tennessee Stage Company. As a Theatre graduate from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Improvisation alum from the Peoples Improv Theater-NYC, he has performed in many comedies and new works which taught him how to write his own comedies.
