Matthew Lombardo’s play, Who’s Holiday! is now advertised with the tagline, “See The Show Dr. Seuss Doesn’t Want You To See!” And, since this new theatrical work was the target of cease-and-desist letters sent by Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. (the current copyright holder of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) and then became the subject of a lawsuit, with an appeal still pending, this tagline would seem to be making an accurate claim. The Seuss estate was apparently unhappy about a parody of its property and flexed its muscles to make Lombardo’s play go away.
