May I lay my candle down before it burns at both ends, not a minute after

May I grant myself the grace to answer Rest’s call by leaning on my inner wisdom and not that of arbitrary deadlines made on white supremacy’s timeline that enslaved my ancestors and/or the ancestors of the people and community I champion

May I grant myself the softness I was not afforded as a child growing up in this capitalist hellscape, may that softness be a practise of “easy now,” and “it’s bedtime,” and “what’s done for today is done, whatever was done is enough”
