Page 73 develops and produces the work of early-career playwrights who have shown a commitment to playwriting as a career but who have yet to receive a professional production in New York City. Every year, the organization selects one playwright to receive a $10,000 cash grant and an additional $10,000 for developing several new plays over the course of the year. This year's recipient, the 19th fellow in Page 73's history, is Dramatists Guild member Marvin González De León.
“We're proud to advocate for Marvin's artistry and career by naming him the 2022 Fellow,” said Michael Walkup, Artistic Director of Page 73. “We're ardent fans of his writing and have been delighted by the breadth of styles and theatrical approaches he's been experimenting with. He's passionate about what he wants his plays to be and his body of work offers an expansive vision for staging Latinx stories within the American theater.”
