Cori Thomas: Why I Joined the Guild
On July 18, 2021, DG New York State held the first in-person event since the start of the pandemic. It was a writing process workshop led by DG Council member Deborah Zoe Laufer and hosted by me at New York Stage & Film on the campus of the beautiful Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York (AD Chris Burney). About a dozen DG members were in attendance from all over New York state, from as far away as the Adirondacks and as close as New Paltz, NY.
