I am so excited to come to work every day at Artists Repertory Theatre where I am the Lacroute Playwright-in-Residence. I am thrilled to be here not only because I have an office and colleagues (which already is a lovely perk as a playwright, as our pursuit is usually a lonely one) but also because of the wealth of new plays and playwrights who are inhabiting the building.

is an award-winning playwright, teacher, and opera librettist. Recent work includes Apple Season (an NNPN rolling world premiere), How the Light Gets In, and a new opera. Lewis is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. She lives on her family’s farm in Oregon.
is a multinational playwright living and working mostly in Portland, OR and occasionally in Berlin, Germany. Her work embraces bold theatricality ranging from intimate portrayals of the human condition to the intersection of national history on private lives. She is the Lacroute Playwright-in-Residence at Artists Repertory Theatre, a member of New Dramatists class of 2024, and a core member of The Playwrights’ Center. Andrea is a collaborating writer with the internationally lauded devised theater company Hand2Mouth Theatre.
