Building community has been essential to New York Theatre Workshop’s mission since its founding in 1979. With this goal in mind, NYTW began its intergenerational theatre workshop, Mind the Gap, in 2009, bringing youth (ages 14-19) and elders (ages 60+) together to participate in meaningful dialogue and create theatre.
