What was an early, memorable theatrical experience?
I didn’t see any live theatre until my early teens, when I saw a touring production of Rent in Boston because all my friends were obsessed with it. I thought it was so cool that the music was contemporary and there were so many queer characters in it. But it was super awkward because I went with my mom, and I don’t think she had any idea what was happening on stage.
