Making Connections
Min Kahng

When I first met Christine Toy Johnson in San Francisco after she spoke at a regional Dramatists Guild event (an event which she set up on top of her busy schedule as a Come From Away touring cast member), I was starstruck. I had already long known her as Sister Mary Leo from the Nunsense and Nunsense 2 VHS tapes I had watched since high school. To see an Asian person in a musical that wasn’t playing the typical King and I or Miss Saigon fare was quite impactful on me.
