Working in the musical theatre industry is not easy. Ask any of us who have walked that path, and we’ll tell you: it’s a world of constant rejection, taking every opportunity and gig you can get, and being overworked and underpaid to within an inch of your sanity for the tiny sliver of a hope that someday, you’ll get the right foot in the right door and your talent will get noticed. We do it because we love it and it’s our passion, and we can’t fathom doing anything else, but that doesn’t make it any less painful.
