Our original goal was to build an immersive theatre event, but due to the pandemic visitors would have to explore it from their browsers. So, inspired by 90s website design, those free Virtual Museum CD-ROMs you used to get when you’d buy a family computer, deep-dive podcasts, and super weird YouTube channels, the local Nashville artists in our New Works 615 Lab led by Nashville Rep Artistic Associate Erica Jo Lloyd and me, we devised and created an online virtual museum for a fictional Tennessee town.
