Mai ka lā ‘ō‘ili i Ha‘eha‘e a hāli i ka mole o Pololū. Eō from the Moku o Keawe. Forged by the Kīpu‘upu‘u and soothed by the Kanilehua, the kupukupu fern surges forth as our island voice continues to flourish. This past year, the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Moku o Keawe continued its steady flow of new work being read and produced throughout the island.

Eric Stack

is a playwright from Kea‘au, Hawai‘i. He is the author of , Vitae, Brought to Bear, and Kūpe‘e (winner of 2019 Kumu Kahua Playwriting Contest). He has written the book and lyrics for the Hawaiian operas Hā‘upu, Kū I Ka Mana, Pai‘ea, and The Battle of Kuamo‘o. He teaches at Kamehameha High School in Kea‘au.
