New York, NY—The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has announced this year’s round of fellows, which includes 180 scientists, writers, scholars, and artists across 51 fields. The 2022 Fellows were chosen from a rigorous application and peer review process out of nearly 2,500 applicants.
Included in the category of Drama and Performance Art are Dramatists Guild members César Alvarez and Jen Silverman.
Since its establishment in 1925, the Guggenheim Foundation has granted almost $400 million to over 18,000 individuals, among whom are more than 125 Nobel laureates, members of all the national academies, winners of the Pulitzer Prize, Fields Medal, Turing Award, Bancroft Prize, National Book Award, and other internationally recognized honors.
