Throughout this issue, you will find proactive conversations and offerings on a variety of topics as they pertain to new work: that is because it is a multi-faceted industry, and why the Guild so often encourages its members to see things beyond the very limited “pathway to production” pipeline. Chances are, if you are to take this calling of yours seriously, you will have to develop a deep understanding of these things at some point, even though they don’t all have to do with putting words to the page or seeing your stories come to life.
