Editor’s Notes on the Mentorship Issue
When I stepped into the role of editor, my goal for this publication was clear — and a little selfish. I wanted every article in every issue of The Dramatist to serve the career of the theatre writer, tangibly and with immediacy. This can manifest in myriad ways, whether that be through craft or career advice, resource sharing, advocacy news, or inspiration. This goal led me to add new questions to our recurring “Ten Questions” feature: What’s something you wish someone told you when you began your career? What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received? And, how do you measure success?
