An act of courage can be as simple as a group of artists taking up space or as straightforward as a superhero on stage. Sometimes it’s students mobilizing against censorship. Sometimes it’s sending in submission number 101 after receiving 100 rejections, or standing your ground and enforcing your right to approval of script changes, your right to get paid. Courage can look like calling out bad behavior, refusing to sign a predatory contract, or walking away from an opportunity because your rights aren’t being respected.
