As the theatre communities across the nation start thinking about how to reopen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Broadway Green Alliance is encouraging theatres to consider the planet as well as the health and safety of their artists and patrons. Founded in 2008, The Broadway Green Alliance operates with a two person staff, as well as an army of volunteers. Their purpose is to inspire Broadway and the wider theatrical community to make theatre more environmentally friendly. There are a host of events and resources listed on their website which are geared toward giving theaters, artists and patrons the necessary information and tools to create a truly green nationwide theatrical community.
