Our theatre scene is dotted with small, scrappy, fiercely inventive theatre companies—many of them surviving (and thriving) without permanent walls and with minimal staffing. One perpetual challenge is getting the word out about shows, and elevating awareness of Baltimore’s diverse theatre scene in the process. Doing this well has direct implications for lifting up the work of locally produced dramatists so their work becomes better known.
