This edition of The Dramatist focuses on resources and opportunities available for dramatists in the state of Massachusetts, including the Berkshires, Pioneer Valley, Cape Cod, and the Boston area. From Boston's New Play Ecosystem to Writers Retreats at the historic homes of towering literary figures such as Ernest Hemmingway and Edith Wharton, the state of Massachusetts is full of opportunities for dramatists to develop new work. Also in the issue, Jeffrey Sweet presents his op-ed Regarding MFA programs, Donnetta Lavinia Grays discusses The Craft, and Alan Menken explains "Why I Joined the Guild."
