NEW YORK, NY – The 2022 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out this evening to recipients in sixteen categories, with two honorary awards also bestowed. Returning to a live, in-person ceremony for the first time in three years, the Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball.

Kimberly Akimbo, by DG members David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori, won Outstanding Musical.

And DG Council member David Henry Hwang was this year’s Playwrights’ Sidewalk Inductee.
