A Statutory Rebuff to the Idea of a "Director's Copyright"
In the last two decades, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) has pushed for recognition of a separate copyright in stage directions, presumably with the belief that a "director's copyright" would lead to more money and constrain some forms of plagiarism.
