Sponsorship Opportunities

A sponsorship of a Dramatists Guild outreach initiative means nurturing and protecting the voices of playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists, and the American theatre itself.

Each time a stage is lit up with a story, that story began with a writer -- or a team of writers -- bold enough to harness their dreams into something tangible we can all enjoy.

Every time a school, regional theatre, touring house, community, or Broadway theatre mounts a show, there is a writer to thank for that story. At the Dramatists Guild, we seek to continuously find ways to humanize the author in spaces where they may have been forgotten in the contractual or creative process of realizing works. We also hope to make certain that global protections are respected for all individuals.

Your sponsorship enriches our efforts to ensure that writers are not forgotten by the industry at large. It increases our odds of reaching the writers who need this information most, and our ability to amplify our advocacy efforts in order to reach all dramatists who wish to make meaningful change in the theatre industry. Current sponsorship opportunities are listed below.

Sponsor our 2024 Dramatists Guild Awards Night

Our annual awards night in New York City is one of the highlights of the theatrical season. The only awards given by theatre writers to theatre writers, the DG awards celebrate the work of playwrights, composers, lyricists, librettists, and thought leaders in the arts industry.

Sponsor The Dramatist

Sponsor The Dramatists Guild presents Talkback

A podcast for every theatremaker or fan who wants to pull back the curtain to discover the highs and lows of what it means to create theatre and foster community in the complex landscape of American storytelling.

Sponsor DG's National Advocacy Campaign

In 2022-2023, the Dramatists Guild traveled to 24 states and territories, hosting over 40 in-person panels, sessions, and events in collaboration with new works festivals, conferences, theatres, and organizations. We entered each gathering with a clear message: “The Dramatists Guild is here, and theatre writers deserve fair compensation, rights, respect, and visibility. How can we work together to make that happen?”
