RE-OPENING WAITING LIST FOR WESTBETH ARTISTS HOUSING
Requests for applications for the waiting list at Westbeth, a 384 unit building located in the West Village in Manhattan, are currently being accepted for 1-6 person households with qualifying incomes and with working artists who are professionals in their fields. In addition to income restrictions, one adult member of the household will be screened for artistic qualifications. Westbeth provides affordable live-work space for artists and their families. In addition to the income eligibility criteria posted in the advertisement, one adult member of the household will be screened for artistic qualifications. Applications will be accepted for 1-6 person families. Applications must be downloaded or requests for paper applications must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2019. The deadline to submit an application is May 31, 2019.
APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY.
While most units at Westbeth are rent-stabilized, some Section 8 subsidies occasionally become available for which more stringent income restrictions apply. Qualifying Section 8 tenants pay 30% of their income towards rent. For rent stabilized units, rents may vary and the current maximum household income (95% of AMI) from all sources is*:

Applications must be downloaded or requests for paper applications must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2019. The deadline to submit an application is May 31, 2019. Completed applications must be mailed by regular mail only, sent to the Post Office Box address indicated on the application, and postmarked by the application deadline date. Applications received after the deadline will not be processed.
Please carefully follow directions on how to complete and submit the application. If more than one application is received from the same household, all applications from that household will be dropped to the end of the list. The waiting list will be established by lottery.
