The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

    Working Title Playwrights is now accepting submissions for the 2022-2024 Rosalind Ayres-Williams Memorial Scholarship. Kicked off in 2018 through an anonymous donor, this scholarship will fund an annual WTP membership for a Georgia-based Black playwright for two years. In addition to a free membership, the recipient receives mentorship, access to all of WTP's programs, and the opportunity to develop and achieve custom-designed goals over a two-year period.

    Up to four plays by WTP member playwrights are selected each year to participate in the Ethel Woolson Lab. Each recipient is given a 29-hour developmental workshop, culminating in a rehearsed, staged reading for the public. Each selected playwright is partnered with a support team of artists designed for the needs of the play and the playwright.     Founded in 1995, Dad’s Garage is a non-profit comedy theatre located in the heart of Atlanta's historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. With award-winning Atlanta improv comedy, scripted shows, and a fully-stocked bar, we're a major part of Atlanta nightlife and a great venue for date night.
