Adventurous Puppet Theatre, Film & Creative Engagement

Theater Emory, as a resident professional company, serves as a laboratory for faculty artistic research as well as for Theater Studies courses (students can be involved in many capacities and auditions are open to any student). This unusual partnering of undergraduates with adventurous professional artists in residence creates distinctive opportunities: to link theory and practice; to let mature artists and gifted students inspire each other; and to make theater in which young artists and seasoned professionals bring their unique perspectives to the questions posed in the plays.

RoleCall Theater is a independent theater housed right off the Atlanta Belt Line at Ponce City Market. The theater exhibits short format plays, films, and live acts from premier stand up, improv, and sketch comedy performers in both our indoor & outdoor theater spaces.

Out of Hand makes shows, games and public art, for venues including parks, homes, businesses and theaters. Through annual free public arts events and original works, we embrace new audiences, celebrate community, and create moments of mass intimacy. The Atlanta Radio Theatre Company was founded in 1984 by radio personality William L. Brown and actor/director Patrick Stansbury. They incorporated ARTC as a non-profit educational corporation, dedicated to the production and distribution of quality audio drama. To procure funding, Mr. Stansbury persuaded the Citizens and Southern National Bank (as it was then known, later part of NationsBank, now Bank of America) to sponsor a weekly, one hour program on WGST-AM — and Mr. Brown turned his spare bedroom into a recording studio.
