dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

Underbelly is an American theatre company. We lead our audiences on immersive journeys through forgotten spaces. We riff on classic American stories, and raid the American subconscious for new aesthetics and inspiration. We slam together time periods. We cross disciplines. We work ecstatically. We are vagabonds. We like to build work in the unused parts of theatres—the light pit, the lobby, the very back of the scene shop. We're obsessed with invitations, and the ways audiences plunge into a play. An Underbelly show combines narrative, music, dance, and fresh corn muffins (if you’...

  • What exactly is it, that has made the magical world of Esther's Follies so unique? The peculiar interaction between stage and street has been a Follies hallmark since the beginning. With 6th Street still dimly sinister after dark, the windows provide safe haven between numbers to watch the steady parade of Sixth Street denizens, and revelers wander by. Esther’s is an equal opportunity satirical revue—fond of skewering both political parties and using the absurd in politics and pop culture as a foundation for their sketches. The end result is a smartly funny, unifying experience for a...
