dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

We believe in enriching peoples' lives through music, and we're proud to play our small part in that massive endeavour. We make audio interfaces, and that's all we do. It's the job of an audio interface to sit between you and your sound being shared with the world, and we're the best in the world at making that happen. But what does it mean to make the best audio interfaces in the world? The best interface should help you record your sound, exactly as it is. It should be ready to go when you are, never skipping a beat. It should be easy to use, removing pointless technical barriers that...

  • Nick Hern Books is the UK’s leading specialist performing arts publisher with over 1,000 plays and theatre books in our catalogue. We also license most of our plays for amateur performance (see our Plays to Perform site). Our list of plays includes work by many of the UK’s preeminent playwrights, as well as some of the most exciting emerging writers. We work with major theatres and theatre companies across the UK and in Ireland to publish new plays alongside their professional premieres, often in the form of a ‘programme/text’ that combines the functions of theatre programme and playtext.

An agency is only as good as its clients and our clients’ reputations speak for themselves. We represent all manner of writers and directors working in drama across film, television and theatre; from those at the peak of their careers to those at the very beginning. That range is reflected in the company too: the agents here are as varied in their taste as they are in age and experience. We work with other successful book agencies representing their media rights and we ourselves have a bespoke children’s literary department. Our support team is the best, with a strong legal department and a...
  • We are a Community Theatre Company. We make work that is any and sometimes all of the following: bold, adventurous, challenging, classic, new and sometimes more than a little bit silly. Above all, our work always strives to be of the highest standard. We are driven by a community of active members that includes local Putney residents, people from the borough of Wandsworth and from further afield throughout London. Our home, Putney Arts Theatre is the base of both Putney Theatre Company and Group 64 Youth Theatre, so we are driven by the hard work of our adult members and the playful...
  • We were born in a humble hut sixty years ago. Our simple mission was to create original theatre without creative restriction. We quickly attracted a generation of talent that helped to redefine British Theatre. That not only entertained but propelled the art form forwards.
