The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

  • All Ears Theatre debuted in January 2002 as a collaboration of local artists organized by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo. Twelve free performances (comedies and dramas) in the style of radio’s golden.

    Queer Theatre Kalamazoo (QTK) was founded in 2013 by then-graduate student Laura Kay Henderson as part of her thesis project. Over the next six years Laura devoted endless hours to QTK acting as both executive and artistic director. As time went on a Board of Directors was formed to provide necessary oversight as QTK became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2018.
