The Arts Center’s community theatre has been a part of the Rocky Mount community for more than 50 years. The Theatre offers a wide variety of productions, including comedies, dramas, musicals, and children’s theatre, and relies on volunteers to continue its tradition of success.

Nash Arts is a private, nonprofit organization, which celebrates, promotes and produces artists and arts activities, provides support to other area arts organizations and encourages and generates arts education in order to enhance the quality of life in Nash County. Our organization showcases local, regional and national artists, professional and emerging, as well as self-taught artists and craftsmen. Our goal is to reach out to all members of our community.

The Agape Theatre Project is a faith and community based organization created for the purpose of producing and promoting original plays from predominantly African- American playwrights in an effort to reach across social, spiritual, economic and racial boundary lines.

NCO’s mission is to enhance the cultural life of North Carolina by presenting artistically significant opera productions of the highest quality, strengthening and expanding audiences for opera in the region, and providing regional artists opportunities to participate in operatic productions and events.

Pure Life Theatre Company is a diverse group of artists who exist to serve the community through exceptional theatrical experiences and life-giving performances that explore and nourish truth, hope, redemption and love.

Built in 1946, The Cary property was once home to the town’s first indoor movie theater, which hosted live performances as well as films. The property was also used as a clothing store, auto parts store and recording studio. Now the marquee lights up Downtown Cary with the mission of providing a unique setting for cinema and live performance to enhance the cultural arts experience in Downtown Cary.
