dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

It is through our perseverance in promoting writing from all over the world that we store up the riches of other cultures and keep them safe from perishing, building a humanity that speaks the same language through literature and seeks to right global prejudices. As well as...

In 1995, we dedicated our efforts almost entirely toward publishing New England Entertainment Digest (NEED), an arts & entertainment monthly covering the arts in New England and New York. With NEED now an online resource and no longer a print publication, JAC ventured into another area where it can support the arts - publishing scripts and arts-related books!
  • PIC’s process of play development is unique. We invite incoming playwrights to spearhead their vision with the support of our collective of theater makers. We bring a talented team of actors, dramaturgs, designers and more to collaborate with each writer on the development of their piece, and all of the participating artists help contribute to PIC’s monthly administrative duties.
