dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

  • Salamander Street is a new independent publisher, founded in Leith, Edinburgh in 2019 by George Spender, the former Editorial Director of Oberon Books. Now based in Bristol, London and Glasgow, we publish a wide range of books about the arts, music, photography, and (counter) culture. We welcome open submissions. Please be patient while we take a look – we are a small team with limited hours and long to-do lists.
  • In 1904, Samuel Fischer expanded his publishing house to include a theater department. The aim was, then and now, to convey the represented plays to potential theaters and to uphold the performance rights of the playwrights. Today there are about 400 authors and more than 1500 plays in the program.
