FORGE NYC

New York, NY

FORGE is a boutique consulting agency grounded in the philosophy that how you work matters as much as why you create and what you want to make. We believe in the power of process, and in building the skills, systems, plans, and practices that will carry you not only through your next set of goals, but your life’s work as a creator.

We see ourselves as coaches as much as consultants. We are proud to bring our expertise to the table, as we encourage and enable our clients to build their own skills. Our goal is to teach you the tools to master your present challenges and meet those ahead with confidence.

Our own process grows from the fundamental strength of our teamwork. Working with FORGE gets you the experience and expertise of both Chie + Greg, from first meeting to final check-in. Whether we’re in complete agreement or advocating for alternatives, your project gets the benefit of having a second opinion present in the room. The best work happens when we’re working together with you.

Resource Directory Logo
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

You bring the spark. We'll light the...

Every month (mostly), we pick a featured playwright whose work we love. Then we curate a rotating group of resident and guest directors who in turn collaborate with the talents of the actors of their choice. Individually, each group rehearses and interprets one short work of a featured playwright before then all coming together to form that month's PLAYxPLAY. The series offers an audience the rare opportunity to see a wide range of a single writer's voice in one evening, while simultaneously offering the playwright the chance to see a variety of interpretations of their work by an array of...
