“Me and Black Lives Matter” mini-grant is supported in part by Horace Barker and The Battin Foundation.
Rattlestick Playwrights Theater recognizes how important it is for young theater-makers to actively create theatrical works in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.
To inspire and support this creative process, Rattlestick invites young writers up to 21 years old to submit a piece of theatrical writing of 3 to 5 minutes duration (if read out loud). The piece should have the theme “Me and Black Lives Matter” and address issues of racism in America and/or the World.
Submissions can be in the form of a monologue, poem, spoken word, dialogue, or any other configuration you see fit for your artistic expression.
