Our Mission: Under the banner Charlotte’s Off-Broadway, Anne Lambert and her artistic collaborators produce projects that portray authentic female experiences, dramatize questions of social injustice and inequality, and illuminate the role women can play to advance socially progressive, transformative possibilities and solutions to enduring questions of gender privilege and bias. COB entertains audiences with provocative, innovative, contemporary work that explores popular culture, marriage, adult friendships, career successes and failures, and art.

Children's Theatre of Charlotte provides more than 250,000 experiences for children and families a year with technically imaginative productions and wide-ranging education programs for young people. Each year we mount professional productions for children and families, with the curtain rising more than 600 times during a season – that’s more than any other theatre company in the state.

The Matthews Playhouse of Performing Arts and the African American Playwrights Group (AAPG) have joined forces to collaborate and expand the Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) presence in the Matthews area within the performing arts. OUR MISSION: To create high-quality theatre in an intimate environment that inspires comm/unity with empathy, emotion, reflection, and conversation. We believe that empathy and shared experiences create grounds for respect, tolerance, and humanity within a community. Warehouse PAC aims to fine-tune a theatrical experience where audiences witness actors/artists inside plays more intimately than most playhouses, and thus with greater empathic and shared impact.

Davidson Community Players' vision is to be the region's premiere community theater; expanding its performance season to include both year-round adult theatre productions and on-going children's programming, including workshops and performances, as part of our youth division, The Connie Company.

Old Courthouse Theatre is supported, in part, by a grant from the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency. The grant is administered by the Cabarrus Arts Council.

The Storefront Theatre is accepting submissions for our 8th annual 10-minute play festival. Like all theatres at this time, we are uncertain as to the future but we’re going to take a chance that by next March, we will be able to present the plays on stage as live concert readings. If that isn’t possible, then we will present online as a video recording or live-stream. A blind panel of judges with broad theatre experience will select 8-10 plays to be presented as concert readings and will choose a first place winner who will receive a cash award of $75.00.
