dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

  • The Ensemble Playwright Lab (EPL) is a residency program in which the playwright engages with Letter of Marque's (LOM) ensemble to create, develop, or reimagine a piece of work; which will be presented to the public at the end of the residency. • Being a writer in New York City is challenging but finding a quiet place to work can be even harder. We founded Brooklyn Writers Space fifteen years ago to provide an affordable sanctuary where writers can turn off their phones, ignore the dishes in the sink, and do the hard work of writing. The communal lounge and kitchen provide a place to take a break from the writing and chat with other members about work and life. BWS has served over 1800 writers who have published countless articles, books, dissertations, poems, stage and screen plays.

Page 73 develops and produces the work of early-career playwrights who have shown a commitment to playwriting as a career but who have yet to receive a professional production in New York City. Page 73 plays an important role in the playwriting community by offering career guidance, financial assistance, and development and production opportunities. Our goal is to move our playwrights’ work toward production, either through Page 73’s own presentation of their professional premieres or by helping our playwrights connect to available opportunities at our colleague theaters. Our developmental...
