AfroSolo Theatre Company’s mission is to nurture, promote and present African American and art and culture from the African Diaspora through solo performances, the visual and literary arts and community engagement. We bring people of different ethnicities together to explore and share the human spirit that binds us all.

African-American Shakespeare Company was introduced in 1994 to open the realm of classic theatre to a diverse audience; and provide an opportunity and place for actors of color to hone their skills and talent in mastering some of the world’s greatest classical roles. We do this by producing work from the canon of classical theatre including Shakespeare and great American and world playwrights that is lively, entertaining and relevant.

Established 1981. The Lorraine Hansberry Theatre produces Theater work by, for, and about African American people and other people of color.

RDAC is a digital (and eventually some projects in person) collaboration of performers looking to work together to amplify unheard artistic voices and create art together. Founded in 2020 by longtime friends and collaborators Jack Conley and Laura Uyeki.

We have been thrilling audiences in San Francisco since 1923. We are known for commissioning numerous world premieres, training some of opera's greatest young artists and being one of the world’s leading opera companies.

Utopia Theatre Project uses new works and re-imagined classics to create experiential theatre which inspires social change, human creativity, and actor-audience connection. We support emerging playwrights and directors in the development of new plays through staged readings, talk-backs, and fully staged productions. We incorporate dance, music, and visual media into our productions, and encourage the expansion and diversification of theatre audiences.

Wily West Productions formed in 2008 to provide a locally run, locally cast, locally produced outlet for new plays by Bay Area playwrights. The production team members had a combined background totaling several dozen productions of various sizes and budgets from New York to Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Wily West has produced critically acclaimed and award-winning productions. We value not only quality production elements, but strive for a creative and fun production environment.

We seek out plays and playwrights pushing the boundaries of structure and form, developing new plays by local playwrights and introducing compelling new voices to East Bay audiences.

QUEER CAT PRODUCTIONS creates playful, perspective-queering, boundary-pushing theater and immersive experiences at the intersection of theater, games, and storytelling. We are committed to to curiosity about evolving forms; haunting: memory, resilience, genre-fluidity; and to the spirit of play, as interactive and consensual, as a space for risk and spectacular failure, as stories that we co-create, storytellers and audience, and that create us in return.

PROGRESS THEATRE (PT) is an international touring ensemble of multi-disciplined performers committed to using art to encourage social consciousness, cross-community dialogue and cultural awareness amongst audiences diverse in race, age and spiritual background.
