The Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia is a coalition committed to supporting and uplifting the Black theatre artists in the Greater Philadelphia area while challenging and encouraging the Greater Philadelphia theatre community to be more proactive in their commitment to equity and equality.

Notes: Founded in 1999, Azuka Theatre's mission is to strengthen the connection and shared humanity among its diverse audiences by giving voice to the people whose stories go unheard. The company has built a reputation for accessible, thought-provoking and socially conscious theater and been hailed as a “major player on the Philadelphia alternative theatre scene’” by Philadelphia Weekly. Azuka was the first theatre in Philadephia to adopt a fully Pay What You Decide ticketing model for all productions.

Colonial Playhouse: Your Community Theater for Over 70 Years!

To engage audiences and artists alike with exceptional performances, inspired writing and superior productions that motivate us to think harder, to feel more deeply, to laugh more joyfully, and to reflect on ourselves and the world in which we live.

The Phillips’ Mill Drama Program produces several popular shows, including original musical comedies and cabarets featuring the music of well-known songwriters. Seating for these performances is cabaret style; guests are invited to bring their own snacks and libations. The Drama Committee and the enthusiastic thespians, singers and dancers who produce the shows always seem to have as good a time as the audience. In addition, the Drama Program offers a summer workshop for youth that closes with a performance at the Mill. This revives the long tradition of children’s theater at the Mill.

Our mission is to nurture and promote creative opportunities throughout our community in order to provide exquisite moments of surprise and delight in an ever-challenging world. Our Pay What You Decide pricing structure ensures that anyone is able to access adventurous experiences that are unique, participatory, and push the boundaries of what “theater” can be.

We create and tour interdisciplinary performances with music and drama about African American history for diverse audiences. A touring company, TFT has traveled to over 100 schools, faith communities, community centers, and universities since our founding in 2007.

Governed by a Board of Trustees, the Union County Arts Center Inc. (d.b.a. The Union County Performing Arts Center) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving both the community of Union County and the state of New Jersey.
