Pinky Swear’s Mission is to produce modern plays with well-crafted, believable, engaging women’s roles where people talk to each other and things happen. Our productions are a little funny, a little dark, and a lot entertaining.

Prologue Theatre is launching FOREWORD: A New Works Series. We will be selecting 5 new works to be workshopped via Zoom from November 2020-March 2021.

Prologue Theatre understands that it can be difficult, at times, to begin conversations about “certain topics” and focuses on presenting theatre that can serve as that starting point. Through theatrical performance, coupled with community discussion, we strive to challenge our community to examine and discuss their views of the world and those around them. Our focus is on those who are in the process of finding their own voice – whether 15 or 115 years old – and are looking for a place where they can hone those viewpoints by examining world issues within (and with) their community.

Signature Theatre is committed to the development of new work and has one of the largest musical theater commissioning programs in the country. 1st Stage is a not-for-profit professional theatre. We deliver support and resources to the region’s most talented artists to do their very best work. Productions range from Shakespeare to contemporary plays and musicals.

Wolf Trap Opera is one of the nation’s most highly regarded residency program for emerging professionals in the opera business. The young artists on our roster sing all roles in our productions. Our main venue is The Barns at Wolf Trap, and our parent organization is The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. We're in Vienna, Virginia, about 15 miles west of Washington, DC.

Synetic produces four to five mainstage productions and two to three family series productions per season, while also running an educational studio for children and adults, conducting community outreach programs, and touring family and mainstage productions, reaching over 36,000 patrons annually.

The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival National Playwriting Program (NPP) offers three (3) programs for student-written work: ten-minute plays, one act plays, and full-length plays.
