Theater Block is a subsidized space project of FABnyc in partnership with local cultural organizations that aims to maximize the potential of available rehearsal space in the East Fourth Street Cultural District. Our commitment to sustaining the cultural character and diversity of the community extends across the LES: from 14th Street to Canal, from Bowery to the East River. DMAC produces theater works by Latino playwrights or by non-Latino playwrights which can be cast with Latino actors. Prefer small casts of under 7 actors. Submissions are accepted year-round.

Mabou Mines is an artist-driven experimental theater collective generating original works and re-imagined adaptations of classics. Work is created through multi-disciplinary, technologically inventive collaborations among its members and a wide world of contemporary filmmakers, composers, writers, musicians, choreographers, puppeteers and visual artists. Mabou Mines fosters the next generation of artists through mentorship and residencies.

Liberty Theatres is a live theatre owner and operator of two Off Broadway theatres located in heart of New York City at Greenwich Village and the East Village. The New York theatres are free standing venues with houses ranging from 350 seats to 399 seats. All theatres offer a diverse array of shows from Off-Broadway to pre Broadway tryouts to unique theatrical events.

Wild Project provides a familiar home and attentive staff to our resident companies which enables the companies to continue their respective missions to serve the cultural landscape of New York City. Resident companies receive 2-8 weeks of exclusivity to Wild Project’s 89-seat theatre each year, which extends stability and clarity to theatre companies whose brand and artistic influence are experiencing growth.

The International Human Rights Art Festival provides a forum to international artists whose voices can be overlooked, underrepresented and, in some cases, actively repressed.
