As Producer / Director of Shades of Truth Theatre, Michael Green is committed to presenting positive theater that is provocative, educational and entertaining. In collaboration with his strategic partner Voza Rivers / New Heritage Theatre Group, Shades of Truth has produced dozens of shows.

New Heritage Theatre Group, the oldest Black non-profit theater company in New York City, originated in 1964 under the name New Heritage Repertory Theatre by the late Roger Furman, a revered playwright, director, actor and lecturer, who began his career in the 1940s with the American Negro Theatre in Harlem. Its mission, to preserve and sustain classic works of Black theatre.

Following years of enterprising activity on stage and in the community, Pregones Theater and Puerto Rican Traveling Theater recently merged into a single Latino arts organization with performance venues in The Bronx and Manhattan. The transformation builds upon congruence of mission, values, and programs, and sustained engagement of a growing network of diverse artists and audiences throughout and beyond New York City. Est. 1968, NBT is is among the oldest black Theaters in the country, and amongst the longest owned and operated by a woman of color. NBT is also a pioneer as the first to establish revenue generating black art complex.

The Movement Theatre Company creates an artistic social movement by developing and producing new work by artists of color.
