The Marriott Theatre, a founding member of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, assists and fosters artists in creating new works for the Marriott stage.

Est. 1992. Writers Theatre is committed to commissioning, developing and producing new plays, musicals and adaptations. Since our founding in 1992, we have produced 26 world premieres: 7 plays, 14 adaptations, 3 musicals. In addition to these premieres, WT is also committed to providing playwrights the chance to continue refining their new work after it debuts, via developmental workshop opportunities and fully-staged second productions. Oil Lamp Theater is a professional not-for-profit theater organization that is dedicated to the presentation of traditional theater in a unique, inviting and intimate venue. Its mission is not only to stimulate interest in the performing arts but also to promote a sense of, and provide a service to, the community.

The 2nd Act Players is the North Shore’s best-kept theater secret. We’ve been producing new works for the stage since 2013, featuring more than 40 new actors in those shows. We’re the place to come to see stories about how people deal with major 2nd acts in their lives such as divorce, heart disease, war, and caring for an aging parent, to name just a few of the topics we’ve tackled.

Northlight Theatre is a professional, non-profit theater company currently located in Skokie, Illinois at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. Northlight produces five mainstage productions each year. In addition to the mainstage season, programming includes workshops and readings of new works, audience outreach to Veterans and many other groups, community engagement programs, and a comprehensive arts education program for underserved middle and high school students.

It is our mission to present powerful, thought-provoking, community-centered Theater Arts programming with a commitment to diversity and creative excellence. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and creative environment for directors, playwrights, set, light, and costume designers, as well as for experienced and novice performers.
