dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

Ten Thousand Things brings lively, intelligent, professional theater to people with little access to the wealth of the arts - who in turn help our artists and traditional audiences re-imagine what theater can be. Our free performances are at homeless shelters, correctional facilities, low-income senior centers, reservations, after-school programs, women's shelters, and locations in rural Minnesota - any place we can reach people who do not have easy access to the wealth of the arts! We also perform for paying audiences at Open Book and MN Opera Center.

In today’s American theatre scene, where only 18% of plays are written or directed by women, Theatre Unbound productions have given opportunities to 137 female directors, 435 female actors, 109 male actors, and 126 female playwrights from the 10th century to the 21st. The work we produce ranges from contemporary classics like Paula Vogel’s How I Learned To Drive, a witty, poignant drama about surviving childhood sexual abuse, to world premieres like Anne Bertram’s Frankenstein Incarnate: The Passions of Mary Shelley, a “multifaceted” (City Pages) drama about Shelley’s life and best-known...
