The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

We produce and support theatrical events that celebrate the human experience. We are creating a company that is accessible and fully integrated with the Tri-Valley community and invite the participation of our Central Valley and Greater Bay Area neighbors.
  • This commission is for a playwright of color to celebrate scientists of color while exploring a current science theme. The selected playwright will be tasked with writing an original play which includes a component about scientific research currently pursued by our local Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL). Many possibilities include using supercomputers to identify a COVID-19 vaccine and treatment candidates. We will partner the selected playwright with advisory support from scientists at the LLNL and/or Sandia National Laboratory.

    3GT is delighted to invite Bay Area women playwrights, monolguists and women-led devising ensembles to submit 10 minute plays for a slot in our popular Theme Night program at the 2020 3GT New Works Festival.
