dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

Update or Submit a New Listing Use our submission form to submit new listings or update a current one.

The goal of this festival is to assist the chosen playwrights in the development of their new...

The winning playwrights will work with a creative team including directors, designers, and actors to develop and stage the scripts. The Festival usually culminates in a full performance of the winning plays and a script-in-hand public reading of the runners-...
  • New World Theatre acknowledges that there is a crisis of understanding and awareness that is deeply rooted in our history of racism, and if we are ever going to fully dismantle the institutions of systemic racism, we need to stop... and listen to those who continue to suffer simply because they are black. We can no longer afford to ignore what is happening to our fellow human beings, which is why we are creating a collection of monologues that will give voice to those who can no longer remain silent. Through the power of writing and theatre, we can do our part to amplify the stories of...
