Victory Gardens develops and produces new plays from its Ensemble Playwrights through readings, workshops and productions, and provides necessary resources to further cultivate their individual voices and craft. Through their seven year residencies, the playwrights are involved in the artistic life of the theater. During that time, the playwrights also engage audiences throughout Chicago’s diverse communities and participate in Victory Gardens educational and community programs. TimeLine Theatre Company presents stories inspired by history that connect with today’s social and political issues. Our collaborative artistic team produces provocative theatre and educational programs that engage, entertain and enlighten.

Steppenwolf operates as a not-for-profit organization relying on community support to produce or presents up to 16 plays and nearly 700 performances, readings and other events every year on our three stages. The theater’s artistic and educational programs draw a multi-generational audience of nearly 200,000 from the greater metropolitan Chicago area, while our impact reaches well beyond this region with productions that tour nationally and internationally.

Our versatile ensemble creates visceral experiences that challenge perspectives through passionate storytelling. Shattered Globe is inspired by the diversity of our city and is committed to making the theater accessible to all audiences. Through initiatives like our Protégé Program, we create a space which allows emerging artists to grow and share the ensemble experience with us. Shattered Globe Theatre brings its audiences dynamic re-imaginings of classic works, as well as premiere productions that celebrate new voices and innovative viewpoints.

Stage 773 is a vibrant anchor of the Belmont Theatre District and home to Chicago’s finest off-Loop talent.
