Est. 1991. Target Margin Theater exists to build a world where all people embrace the original, the challenging and the different. We change audiences with our plays, energetically expand the possibilities of live performance, and engage our community at all levels through partnerships and programs in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

New Brooklyn Theatre aims to democratize the American theatre, to broaden the space for unheard voices and repressed histories, to bring into the theatre those sometimes left out, and to use theatre to provoke much-needed public conversations. Our company is committed to addressing pressing social issues, often in site-specific spaces where we bring theatre directly to the communities it serves.

Our mission is to present exceptional theatre performance and to offer theater training and education rooted in an urban Indigenous performance practice. We entertain and challenge our audiences and create an environment where the Indigenous, women’s and arts communities can come together to examine and discuss their cultural, social and political concerns.

The Ensemble Playwright Lab (EPL) is a residency program in which the playwright engages with Letter of Marque's (LOM) ensemble to create, develop, or reimagine a piece of work; which will be presented to the public at the end of the residency. There will be two residencies: Fall & Winter. Two playwrights, one for each residency, will be selected to work with our ensemble once a week, for a total of 21 hours of collaboration and discovery. Mission: The Farm Theater develops early career artists, which may not have the support system afforded others, through workshops, productions, and mentoring. Our industry creates pathways to opportunities for those with privilege, education, and other forms of access. The TEAM is a Brooklyn-based ensemble dedicated to creating new work about the experience of living in America today.

The New York Deaf Theatre, LTD (NYDT) was established in 1979 by a group of Deaf actors and theatre artists who wanted to create opportunities for the production of a dramatic art form that was not found elsewhere in New York City: plays in American Sign Language (ASL). A nonprofit, professional theatre, NYDT is the longest running company of its kind in the greater New York City area and the third oldest Deaf Theatre company in America.

The Civilians R&D Group is comprised of theater artists from various disciplines (writers, directors, composers, performance, etc.) interested in exploring different strategies for making theater from their own creative investigations and being a part of The Civilians' community of artists.
