dg resource directory
The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

Only active members or subscribers of the Guild may use the Resource Directory.

Every year we seek 10-minute audio drama scripts that are genuinely scary, imaginative, chilling, intelligent, suspenseful, horrific or downright grotesque. Writers may submit up to two audio drama scripts to Deathscribe in any given year. Five scripts will be selected from all submissions. These five pieces will be performed on stage in front of a live audience. The writer of the winning piece, chosen by a celebrity panel of judges, will receive the coveted Bloody Axe Award, as well as a $100 cash prize.

The ghostlight, though simple, is a hallowed theater tradition: a single, ever-burning light warding off the darkness long after the final curtain call. It's a connection between our past and our future. Show after show, it serves as a constant reminder that there's always another story, another life, another truth ready to be shared. It reveals the way forward past uncertain obstacles and dares us to dream big. Ghostlight Ensemble asks questions that challenge the status quo through timeless stories, immersive environments and unconventional staging.
