The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1935. Our eight-month season runs through the month of October, and we have three theatres: our two indoor stages—the Angus Bowmer Theatre and the Thomas Theatre—and our flagship outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre, which opens in early June and runs through mid-October. We offer up to 11 different plays that include works by Shakespeare as well as a mix of classics, musicals and world-premiere plays. When you visit you can see one or two plays or up to nine plays in one week!

Ashland New Plays Festival assists playwrights in the development of new works through public readings and offers an educational forum to the community through discussions and workshops.

Rogue Theater Company is dedicated to presenting thought-provoking plays that inspire, entertain, and illuminate our common humanity.

To be of service to the Rogue Valley, Oregon, by producing high-quality affordable plays, musicals and musical events while providing a supportive environment for professional and amateur theatre artists and technicians and inspiring and training adults, teens and children in the theatre arts.

Our Mission is to support playwrights who are developing new work and presenting works that explore our humanity in queer, quirky, dark or in an otherwise askew manner. We are also committed to presenting theatre by queer and people of color whose work explores the world in brave and challenging ways.

The Very Little Theatre is a volunteer organization, run on membership power. Auditions are always open to the public, and those interested in aspects of theatre other than acting are always welcome to work in backstage or technical capacities such as costumes, makeup, props, sets, or box office.

At the heart of EMOS is the Ecodrama New Play Contest, which calls playwrights and theatre makers to engage in the global and local ecological issues that face societies across cultures. The concurrent EMOS Symposium fosters dialogue about the intersection of environment, culture, and performance.

Script submissions for the Northwest Ten Festival of Ten-Minute Plays are accepted annually from September 1 through October 31, with auditions taking place in late January. All community members are welcome to audition for the NW10 Festival each year. With approximately 18-24 roles available each festival, this is a great opportunity to meet and work with lots of other local artists.

Oregon Contemporary Theatre creates bold entertainment, challenges expectation, inspires curiosity, encourages dialogue and supports positive change. We believe theatre can transform audiences, students, artists, our community and the world around us.

Pegasus Playhouse is a non-profit theatrical organization dedicated to pursuing excellence in theater, for and with young people. Performance and education will be our focus. We will look to the past and celebrate the classics in plays and musical theater as well as reaching forward to create new works. In the Pegasus Drama Club and camps we will teach and study all aspects of theatre and musical theatre.
